IL COMITATO GENERALE DELL’ONU APPROVA L’ISCRIZIONE ALL’ORDINE DEL GIORNO DELL’ASSEMBLEA GENERALE DEL DIBATTITO SULLA PENA CAPITALE. Sintesi del dibattito avvenuto ieri, 7 novembre 1994, presso il Comitato Generale (Uffcio di Presidenza) dell’ Assemblea Generale dell’ONU in merito all’inclusione nell’ordine del giorno del tema della moratoria sulla pena capitale. Il Comitato Generale ha preso la decisione di inviare all’Assemblea Generale la proposta di inserire in agenda la discussione sulla pena di morte nell’ambito del Terzo Comitato dell’Onu. L’Assemblea Generale, prevedibilmente nel corso della settimana, decidera’ se ratificare o meno la proposta del Comitatto Generale. Il dibattito del Comitato Generale e’ stato molto vivace e combattuto, sopratutto per la contrarieta’ a trattare l’argomento da parte di Sudan, Pakistan, Egitto, Iran e Malesia che hanno espresso dichiaratamente il loro no sull’argomento. ...
