Emma Bonino, leader of the Transnational Radical Party and Member of the European Parliament, went to Asia to meet some political caracters to speak about the ratification of the International Criminal Court.

The third second day of the leader and her delegation was in Manila for the Expert's Conference on the International Criminal Court.Manila, 17 th October 2001 - From 16 to 18 October 2001 the "Centre for Restorative Justice in Asia ", in co-operation with No Peace Without Justice, organised the Experts' Conference on the International Criminal Court ", in Manila (The Philippines).

The
Organising committee included the Supreme Court, the Office of the President, the Department of Justice, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Department of Tourism, the Commission of Human Rights, the Office of the Solicitor General of the Philippines and the University of the Philippines College of Law.The Conference was possible thanks to the contribution by the Government of the United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Canadian International Development Agencies.

At the Conference participated representatives from the Governments of: Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Palau, Singapore, Samoa, the Philippines, Fiji, Cambodia, Brunei, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vietnam and international experts.At the three-day Conference, delegates had the opportunity to exchange views and share information and concerns about ratification of the Rome Statute, benefiting from the experience of those States that already ratified.
